Ahhh, how time flies when you are having fun! These are some of the highlights of 2006.
January: Both me and my mom got violins for 2005 Christmas; mine was 1/4 size, so pretty and so wonderful to hold. We found a good violin teacher and we both started to practice it together.

Violin is one of the hardest instrument to play! I took lessons for a few months. May be I will take it up again later.
February: Start spreading the news: I Officially joined the iPod generation – I got my first nano: woo hoo, I love it. The first song I put in there : Kelly Clarkson.
March: Watch me play with bubbles in March. Also started to take dance lessons from a wonderful teacher Ria and I learned to ice skate too!

April: April was fun! I don’t remember much except that there were a lot of oil paints, real canvas and a ton of polymer clay involved! I felt pretty crafty!
May: We went whale watching in Northern California. I saw three whales and a lots of dolphins. Also got to see my friend Shivani. We are the same age and we went to pre-pre-pre school together. Here is a picture of me at the Monterey beach.

June: Viva Las Vegas! I love Vegas. The buildings are neat and there is always something to do. I had the best pizza ever at Bellagio. On the way back, my dad was trying to get rid of his chage at the slot machines and hit a mini-jackpot! It was so much fun to listen to all those coins tinker when they fell from the coin slot.
July: Off to Vegas again for the fireworks! My mom’s friend Rich and Cathy and their daughter Chrissy who is so nice, invited us over to their neighborhood and we get to light the fireworks. I played with some sparkles.
After the Vegas trip, it was my birthday party time! The party was at the ice rink and was a great great success. Not just the kids but the parents had a great time too. Here is a picture of my birthday cake. Bonita got me a Nintendo gameboy with a lots of games. See my special birthday party page.

Just when I had recovered from the party, we decided to go to Montreal. Went to see the Niagara falls from the Canadian side and it was so HUGE! I loved the rainbow that was floating in the mist. Also got to meet my cousins from Toronto too.
August: Beach and Camping. Need I say more? Here is just one picture at the beach.

My mom and dad did a diet coke and mentos demonstration at my summer camp which was a great hit! And then, the last week of August was declared as “Sonya week” and we did so many fun and interesting things – balloon ride, sandiego safari, tar pits, camping….

September: Back to school – nice to see all my friends again. I like my teacher Ms. Muller and also my EELP teacher Ms. Nancy, she is really funny.
October: Umm.. not sure how to say this but I earned my first million! Our teacher gives out some “money” for doing something extra in the class. And she asked a question and I answered it and also explained the answer. She was so pleased with it that she gave me not just one million, but two millions. She also has a rule that if you miss your homework, you get a pass by paying a $1. So with $2 million, I can get a homework pass for ever and ever!

November: Griffith observatory just opened! We have been to their satellite location and saw Saturn and Mars so we we took some friends with us and went to explore the universe.

December: I am in India and having a great time. I left a note for Santa on the tree, hope he finds it. Just before I was leaving, I got a tamagotchi v3 that I played with in the plane – cute little critter he is! I hear that there is a tamagotchi v4 for me under the tree!
Have a happy new year everybody! See you in 2007.
