They are so cute! I am getting a Webkinz doggy!!!

games - They are so cute! I am getting a Webkinz doggy!!!

I love these cute things!

Each of them have a secret code that you can use when you go to their website and there is a computer version of the same doggy there.

They have a nice little room that you can decorate, they can play around, eat, sleep, exercise, call their friends, you know, all the things that a typical dog does in a day!!!

Sort of like Tamagatchi meets Beanie Baby!

This is probably another fad but Fads are Fabulous and Fun!

I looked at the other webkinzs, the unicorn and the monkey and the cat but I like the brown and white doggy the best!

I am getting one next week, I have even picked out a name for her, Coco (in honor of Coco Chanel). I’ll post pictures of her and her house.

I can’t wait!!!!

Update: I am not only getting the Webkinz Doggy but I am also getting the same Lil’ Kinz ouooy of the same kind!

Instant messenger is really handy

yahoo imI like using the instant messenger these days. Unfortunately I don’t have too many friends on IM. Mostly I IM my Dad and Mom. Sometimes my Dad is in his home office on the 3rd floor, and can’t hear me. It is easier to just IM him since he is on the computer a lot.

Approximations and Fermi Problems!

general - Approximations and Fermi Problems!

My mom always talks about approximating and simplifying things to get an answer quickly!

Apparently a scientist named Fermi was very good at that. Ask him any question and he could come up with a pretty good answer!

So the problems that can be solved using simplification and approximation and thinking about them, are called Fermi problems.

They are kind of fun to do; two that we recently did while driving to the temple were how many golf balls can you fit in a suitcase and how many strollers there are in Los Angeles.

The one that I did all by myself was how many jelly beans can you fit in a gallon jug and how many light bulbs does a 2 bedroom house have!

Books I am reading!

potter 2-1

Just finished Harry Potter’s second book. I read a chapter a day so it took me a while and this is the longest book that I have read so far!

I really enjoyed the book, it was full of interesting characters and twists and turns!

I am going to start the third one pretty soon. The goal is to finish all of the books before the 7th book is released, which is going to be 7th July (7th book releasing on 7/07, cute!) 10th July is my birthday, so may be I’ll get that for my birthday!

My dad promised to show me the movie based on the above book, that would be cool.

Some of the other books that I read this week:

dumb bunnies

The Dumb Bunnie’s Easter - This was a really funny book. It was a family of Bunny celebrating Easter+Halloween+Christmas+thanks giving in one! They carved the turkey like jack-o-lantern and threw eggs down the chimney!

The big book of space: Great pictures.

Dora’s Easter basket and a bunch of other Easter related books.

The games little girls play! UNO, Speed Stacks and Sorry!

Some of the games I am playing these days:

UNO: Pretty simple and fun card game!

Speed stack is kind of silly, you stack 12 cups in a special way and then you try to destack and stack them again as quickly as you can.

Sorry! is a board game.

They are all kind of nice!

Happy Pi Day to you! 3/14 is the International Pi Day

general - Happy Pi Day to you! 3/14 is the International Pi Day

I love Pi!

March 14th (3/14) is the International Pi day.

How do you remember the value of Pi? Just think of:

“How I wish I could calculate pi”

Got it? Count the number of letters in each word. 3.141592, simple!

Here is a Pi joke: Q: What do you get when you take the sun and divide its circumference by its diameter? A: Pi in the sky.

Write to me if you really really want a recipe for my pumpkin Pi!!!

Woohooo, I am a Tennis Pro at Wii : just crossed 1000 points

become a wii Tennis ProI Just turned PRO in Wii Tennis. It was tough going for a while; I would only get a few points here and there and then suddenly, I learned this new trick of hitting the ball at a very sharp angle and now I can beat almost anybody!

Wii games are pretty cute: the console is connected to the internet so when you are playing the Tennis game, the weather on the court is the same as the weather in the city you live in. I also love to see the opponents sweat when I am winning and of course higher the points you have, more spectators show up in the game!

I have also been playing games on the internet using the Wii controller. I wonder if one can go to Tamatown and get Tamagotchi points using Wii?
