I will write about my birthday party soon but lets have some cake first!

I had two cakes, and we were joking that this is the first birthday party we have been to where the cakes actually got finished!

The first cake was called Mango Mousse: Two layers of yellow sponge cake and two layers of fresh mango mousse decorated with fresh fruits.

This was so good! light and fluffy and delicious.

The second one was a Persian Chocolate cake : Devil’s food chocolate cake layered and decorated with Belgian chocolate whipped cream, and finished with chocolate shavings.

With a beautiful rose on the top.

One of my favorite shows is the Challenge at Food Network.

Mr. Tivo, records it for us, and we watch it while having dinner.

Michelle Bommarito is my favorite cake decorator.

She is very creative and has a l little whimsical and whacky sense that she beautifully includes in the cakes she makes. You can look at her face and tell that she is having a great time making a cake and all that Joy is shown in her cake.

In competition, she may not have the best cake, but she would make a cake that makes you smile even before you eat it.

How about this Sofa cake? This could be an ad from a Lazy Boy furnuture company.

Yum, yum, I think the first thing I would eat from the cake is the TV remote!
