2007 Year in Review of happenings in the SonyaWorld

ImageJanuary: January was awesome! I was in India for the first part of the month and celebrated NewYear’s day in Delhi. When I got back to Los Angeles, the Christmas tree was still up, and there were several presents for me! There was the little white square box, called Wii and there was a little blue brick like thing called a cell phone! Wohoo! I entered the communication age!

OK, in January I also got the Tamagochi v.4 but my poor little digital pet kept dying on me! I gave him a little pause and kept playing the sports game on the Wii.

ImageFebruary: February was more like Wiiburuary - I played a lot of Wii but then I got interested in Chess. I even beat my dad in one of the games! I also went to Mount Baldy and did sledding on a broken bucket. It sounds silly but it was a lot of fun.

ImageMarch: 14th March is the international Pi day, so we had a pie. Played Uno and then started reading Harry Potter books. Another interesting thing I did was solve some Fermi Problems. And then, on March 27th, I got my webkinz. Not one but two: a matched pair of Coco and Stickers.

ImageApril: April was Spring break time and we went on a long trip to Grand canyons, petrified forests and lake Havasu. I even got to ride the jet ski. The water was a bit cold but we had the greatest of time. I tried Pinkberry yogurt which I did not particularly like. Although when I tried it again just a few weeks ago, it didn’t taste too bad.

ImageMay: May was memorable - I got my ears pierced. In fact, it was my present to my mom for mother’s day. The ear piercing didn’t hurt as much as I expected it to. There was a huge fire not too far from our house and we could see the whole mountain side in flames and there was an orange glow in the sky. We were in no danger, but it was still scary.

ImageJune: I started horseback riding in June, thats all I remember! Oh, I started taking golf lessons too!

ImageJuly: Aha, my birthday month! We had planned a party for July 10th, but school was out and we decided to postpone it to September. I did get a lots of great presents though.

ImageAugust: I went to Montessori school for a few week but didn’t particularly like it too much. I got interested in drawing and since I was watching Pokemon shows, I started to draw Pokemon. They are cute and cuddly little creature. Continued with my golf lessons, horseback riding and tennis.

ImageSeptember: September is kind of blurry. I started school and we have a really nice teacher. I do remember seeing a huge gorgeous double rainbow across the sky and funny thing was that I could actually see the end of the rainbow - unfortunately, there was no pot of gold at the end of rainbow!

ImageOctober: We celebrated my birthday in October and got delicious cakes mango mousse and Persian Chocolate cake. The party was at the the ice skating rink and we all had a great time and the cake was a great hit. A few days after the party I found out that my friend Kristen got hurt at the rink and broke her arm (sorry Kristen). She has recovered now.

ImageNovember: I went to India in November and that’s the best time to go to India. The festival season is on and I had so much fun. I played fireworks, I played with my cousins, I watched Pokemon in Hindi, I learned a little about how to write from my aunt Bonita who has written so many books!

ImageDecember: I should call it Pokember! My dad took me to Pokemon league meeting and on a whim, without any preparation, I decided to go to the Pokemon city tournament! I didn’t even have a good deck - we made one out of the cards that we had. And surprisingly, I actually won one game. For Christmas I got some Wii games, a LOTs of Pokemon cards and EyeClops, the amazing microscope that magnifies 200 times.

Playing all Wii Games together - Lego Pokewars skating revolution

As an early Christmas present, I got four Wii games; Lego Star wars, Cooking Mama, Pokemon Battle Revolution and Tony Hawk’s skating.

I like them all and we were joking around today that we should play them together.

So we came up with an idea: how about General Grievous from Star Wars, who has pokemon moves, rides on his skateboard and cooks with his light sabers?

We can call that game: Starwars Skating Revolution - now we are cooking!or Lego Pokewars skooking revolution

I can just imagine General Grievous, who emerges from a pokeball, uses his light sabers to do some cool tricks on the skate board, finds his way to the kitchen and whips up a batch of cookies using his light sabers.

With four light sabers, at least he will be great at cutting and chopping in the kitchen! He can save the galaxy some other time!

Or Darth Wader, using the force to gather the ingredients for strawberry short cake, and using the light saber to cut perfect slices, while riding on a skateboard!

Unicorn Pokemon - Rapidash

games - Unicorn Pokemon - Rapidash

There is no true unicorn pokemon in the game, but the one that comes closest to the mythical creature is Rapidash.

ImageThe basic stats for the Pokemon-Unicorn, Rapidash are : TYPE: Fire (Fire Horse), height, 5′7″, wt. 209 lbs. It can gallop as fast as 150 miles an hour and it can reach the top speed within just 10 steps!

Ash once used a Ponyta belonging to Lara Laramie in the Pokémon Marathon in The Flame Pokémon-athon. The Ponyta evolved into Rapidash near the end of the race, winning it.

And here is another cool picture of the dark Rapidash:

I have this card collected already, in fact, I have two of these and four Ponytas.

The dark Rapidash is by Ria and can be seen here. Thank you Ria for letting me show it.

Pokemon Battle revolution - got destroyed by MewTwo

games - Pokemon Battle revolution - got destroyed by MewTwo

I started playing the Pokemon Battle Revolution a couple of days ago. I like the game, there are a lots of battles and its kind of fun. All my pokemon are at level 50, just starting out.

Today we set up the WiFi on the Wii so I can play Pokemon with others. I signed in, found an opponent to battle and had a nice game; I barely won but it was a good match. And then I tried to play another game with a new opponent and Voooh…

The other person had all the BEST pokemons; he had MewTwo, Charizard and several other really strong ones. I had no chance what so ever!

I took out two of my best pokemon (Charmeleon and Wartotle)- the MewTwo did an earthquake on me and boom, both of my pokemon fainted. :-( It was really scary and freaky.

It was good to fight with such a strong pokemon trainer. Hope I see him/her again.

I am just a noob (n00b) and after the game was over, the other trainer probably said w00t!

Early Christmas Gifts - Wii wish you a merry Christmas

For this Christmas, I didn’t have too many things on my list. I just wanted to get some Nintendo Wii games. Lego star wars and Pokemon Battle Revolution, that’s it.

My dad said that when I say “we wish you a merry Christmas”, I really mean “Wii wish you a merry Christmas.” Ha Ha…

games - Early Christmas Gifts - Wii wish you a merry Christmas I must have been a good girl this year, because I am getting the games that I wanted and then some.

In fact, since I have no school for a couple of weeks, my dad said that it wouldn’t make sense to keep the games under the tree till Christmas. I had to promise him that I will act surprised when I open the CD boxes on Christmas Eve!

So now I have, Star Wars Lego game, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Cooking Mama and Tony Hawk’s skating game. Each game is interesting in a different way!

games - Early Christmas Gifts - Wii wish you a merry Christmas I played the Cooking Mama game with my mom today and we had a great time.

It took me a few tries but I have gotten the hang of it. So if you want some Wiisagna (if you don’t know, Wiisagna is Lasagna made on Wii), come on down!

Lego Star Wars is very very cute, Tony Hawk’s skating game is a bit difficult, Cooking mama is fun and Pokemon Battles are very challenging.
