EyeClops Science Presentation at School

I got an EyeClops, which is a microscope that magnifies 200 times and shows the images on TV, for Christmas.

My mom and dad visited my class today and gave a great science presentation. They put together a great show. My teacher liked it too because it was educational.

Here are the fun things that one can show using the EyeClops. As I discover more things, I will add them to this post of EyeClops exciting demonstration.

  • Tear a paper and look at the edge of the tear.
  • Show the dots on a printed paper. They used a Pokemon card and it was great to see the green dots.
  • Show Sugar crystals, salt crystals and Splenda non-crystals
  • Show a mustard seed
  • show hair – straight hair and curly hair and see the edge of it.
  • Show an edge of a blade
  • Show how Velcro works – one can see the hooks on one side and the loops on the other side. Pretty neat.
  • Show a nail and finger prints
  • Show a line drawn by a marker and a pencil and compare thickness
  • Show dollar bill and five dollar bill
  • Show a feather
  • Show a coin

The coolest one was when my dad showed the edge of a real Pokemon card and an edge of the fake pokemon card and one could tell that the real one had three layers and the fake one had one or two layers.

Here are my jeans, magnified 200 times. You can see the fibers.
